I'm not sure how to really describe this piece... It seems rather straight forward.
No matter what Shadow believes his purpose to be, his strings are just being pulled by someone else. They are the ones controlling him. Gerald's Last Wish... he made Shadow think it was for himself, for revenge...but Gerald was the one pulling the strings. He commaned the orchestra, and set the trap.
Even whe the Gizoid, Gerald had, once again, tied the strings, and commanded the puppet to do his bidding.
Heh. *shrugs*
I'm very pleased with how well Shadow turned out. It turned out much better than I anticipated. Spent a good 4-8 hours working on just him alone. I wasn't too sure how t ocomplete the background. But, I knew I wanted Gerald somewhere inbehind everything. I think he ended up a bit too dark, but it's hard for me to tell, as I sit in the dark, and everything is brightened 10 fold compared to someone sitting in a lit room.
I just can't help but keep staring at Shadow... Something about how he turned out. He looks... full? Hard to describe. Oh well.
aww thats quite sad, but its true, Shadow was manipulated by Robotnik so you've got a very truthful piece of art there ^_^ i very much like it. Shadow seems so lifeless there, just a tool in Robotniks plan. You've worked very hard here and its paid off exceedingly well sorry i feel this comment should be longer but i have nothing bad to say about this ^_^ its really interesting and very true
By far the most outstanding thing here is the concept itself, which is superb. As far as the artwork goes though, the shading has been done well but I feel that adding some highlights to gerald like a shine off his glasses or something, would really improve the mood and make him seem more lively than a silhouette.
Oh wow Koji ;.; you really captures sadness in that picture. Just makes you want to cry :/ Just... the expression on his face and the darkness of Gerald... Your best work I have seen. Good work
i love this picture. Shadow did come out wonderfully... that seems like a hard position to draw something in... I don't think Gerald came out too dark... I like the darkness because it shows that he's behind the puppet work... like he's there but no really... anyway... lovely picture.. poor shadow..
This is wonderful. Shadow's pose and lighting is really well done and it's a great idea for a picture. Only thing is, like you said, is that Gerald is a little bit too dark, it's very hard to make out the details behind the shadow. But he should be kept dark anyway. Other than that, it's great, faved.
